My parents are on vacation in Morocco and they randomly ran into a Berber speaker who wants to do a language exchange with me, their “son” [sic], and I said yes! He also speaks Moroccan Arabic. But I would love to try out Berber because it looks exciting and novel! I’m taking Biblical Hebrew at school and it would be fun to try to figure out if there are any cognates, but it may prove futile. I always appreciate a new perspective on linguistics, though!

I was going to assume that nobody here speaks Berber, but I have decided against that and am now asking: does anyone here speak Berber? (not sure which Berber language this guy speaks but it would be interesting to know if someone on here spoke one of them!)

I’m jewish! and I thought it would be fun to be able to know what the hebrew prayers mean.
