A description of my current state.
toki pona
mi wile toki. taso ala li lon tawa wile toki mi
Toaq: Shao jí, lä kuq já sá raı, kéo, shao kuq jí sía raı.
Notes about the translation
This translation uses the (c 1) definition of «shao».
This sentence is an excellent example of scope, and my translation in particular makes use of scope creep.

In the first sentence, the final ⟪su'o da⟫ can technically be dropped, it shouldn't change the meaning.

The second sentence could alternatively be:

ASR;SEN꞊want_to:ERG-say ACC-∄-NTRᵢ-thing
The first strategy uses head-marking with a quantifier extensional prefix on the verb; the second strategy uses dependent marking with a nonexistential determinacy on a dummy noun “thing”.
I think you would need ⟪da⟫ or ⟪ꝡa⟫ before the ⟪kéo⟫ there. Otherwise, it remains within the ⟪lä⟫-clause.
Hmm maybe ⟪kéona, ꝡä…⟫ is safer actually…
