Request: Font with ꝡeꝡa capabilities

Would it be possible to use a font that renders ꝡeꝡa correctly?

I can look into it.

Gentium or Andika both have it, and i think either would be a nice choice, although YMMV. In fairness, a serif font like Gentium might look odd on a forum; and Andika’s lowercase ⟨Aa⟩ and ⟨Ɑɑ⟩ look identical, which might turn out to be an issue, but it’s SIL’s only sans-serif if that matters.

I’m focusing on these SIL fonts because i know they also have IPA coverage, which seems important here. But does anyone have other suggestions

Andika certainly doesn’t look half-bad.

Font feature ss01 for Andika enables double-storey a, which I think looks better.

Nice catch. Unfortunately, i’m not sure the Google Fonts version includes that feature setting. Just noticed that everything reverts to single-story upon adding the @import statement to our client CSS (ergo, switching from our system copy of the font, to the webfont). Hopefully there’s some better-featured source for Andika, or an equally viable font option

Couldn’t Nano save the font locally? Iirc Google Fonts is always out of date anyway

I could upload the font to the site and then use it, that’s true. I’m low on spoons rn so I’ll get around to it this weekend.
