Hi all. In late middle school, early high school, a group of friends and I put together the basics of a grammar for a conlang. We had just learned about the Middle English thorn and esh and were passionate about reviving it lol.
This doc is really funny to me, in a lot of ways it's a forewarning for how not to approach conlanging. No phonotactics, no IPA pronunciations, and the phonology, tenses, and infinitive clauses are ripped wholesale from Spanish. There's some indication we were shooting for a slotting system ala Lojban ("In English, the infinitive’s object is usually the indirect object. But, because of the fact that in Thornesh infinitives can take objects, indirect objects aren’t necessary" sounds like be to me. Also sounds like I had no clue what an indirect object was because prepositional phrases still admit indirect objects lol).

There's a dictionary I could dig up and post as well, would just have to go through it and make sure there's no PII. Seems like we came up with the bones of a derivational system: lexical verbs ended in -i, copular verbs could be formed from nouns through the il particle, and most words (including particles?) could be smacked together lujvo-style.
